“Who are the movers and shakers at the Cobb County Adult Education Center?”
The students at the Cobb Adult Education center are not only making moves to run the race to complete their GED they are also running for other reasons. We will spot light a young man that is running the race to cross the finish line of getting his GED and he is also running across mini-marathon finish lines in recognition style! His name is Keith Glaspy. His story begins with how he began running in 2005, but as he calls it he fell off the wagon with life interruptions. A short time later he returned to his love of running and has not stopped. In 2010 his running became more serious for him so he participated in the following races: Classic 10K with Cobb County, Big Pumpkin Run 5K, Jungle Joe 5K Run with Dunwoody, Gobble Jog 10K with the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Atlanta Track Club New Years Run 10K, Soap Creek 5K placing 1st, Run for Cancer 5K placing 3rd, Georgia Teams 5K, Iron Horse 5K placing 1st and ending in 2011 he ran at the Disney Wine & Dine half marathon. Now in 2012 Keith Glaspy has worked even harder by participating in the New Years Run 5K and placed 1st in his age group! Now that is some running! He has a total of 8 medals as proof of his continued success. We here at the Cobb County Adult Education Center salute you, Mr. Keith Glaspy, for all the hard work you are accomplishing on and off the track! Ms. Hayes
